Baker - we have illustrated a little baker, but we enjoy making the traditional trades- people and adding the accessories that bring them to life.
Basic gent - we are happy to make you an old boy in shirt and braces and plain trousers or someone up to date in a jumper to suit the house you are bringing to life!
Basic lady - we make our ladies to suit whichever house you are looking to bring to life - so, she can be right up to the minute in jumper and skirt or more Edwardian in style.
Cook - our little cook wears a traditional mob cap and long white apron over her dress
Gent in Suit - we have illustrated an old boy rather than Edwardian in style, but suits have never varied much over the decades.
Gardener - like his 1/12th cousin, in shirt, braces and a scarf to keep out the cold and a nice fat cauliflower.
Monk - cheerful old boy with the traditional tonsure. His feet are bare in leather sandals and from his pouch is dangling his set of rosary or worry beads.
Nursemaid - not forgetting the baby too. She wears the practical uniform dress and white apron and cap that was so familiar in wealthier households, but we could make a modern nanny.
Old lady - the ‘lady of the house’ wears her morning black frock with an antique lace shawl and cap. She usually carries a cane and is a very popular doll.
Fag Ash Lil’ - everyone’s favourite doll? A ‘modern’ doll who fits from 40’s to now. In her wrap-around pinny and turban-tied scarf she has not forgotten to put on her ‘warpaint’ and light up before she’s off to clean the bank. All the colours clash - slippers and all - a great character.
Bedtime - all the old dears can be dressed ready for bed. The gents wear old fashioned white long-johns or pyjamas and their wives simple long nighties, with their hair long and loose. They all wear slippers.
Sailor - we like him in a comfy old jersey and navy trousers, but he could be in uniform. The old nets and floats are added to make this chap a little more special, and the tiny shells are real!
Scotsman - super character, who we have tried to make as authentic as possible. His kilt is pleated and the bagpipes are optional, but do set him off.
Pedlar lady - Little Meg is a special character, who you’d half expect to be wandering the lanes around the turn of the century, in her trimmed hat and warm shawl. Her basket is crammed with exciting things to sell.
Scullery Maid - a lovely character in a rather shabby frock off to clean the back stairs down below.
Shopper - the modern version wears a sensible winter coat and woolly hat , or perhaps headscarf and mac. She will usually carry a little basket or handbag.
Smart lady - we have illustrated the ‘Edwardian’ version, who will wear a smart dress and feather trimmed hat and carry a pretty parasol.
Tudor peasants - a happy little couple - we do also make their wealthier cousins in very rich costumes.
Vicar - he wears his traditional vestments and dog collar and usually carries his Bible.
Children - Children are being used more, we notice, in the more 'modern' dolls house - so this is a group of 40s/50s youngsters to give you an idea, and perhaps inspire you.
Fisherman - The fisherman has all the gear for a great day out, from 'wellies' to fishing rod, and is a new addition to our range along with his Gamekeeper friend.
Gamekeeper - This Gamekeeper, has his gun and game from the day's shooting, but we are happy to make him to your own requirements, or to suit another period.
Ladies from the 1940s - We are often asked for younger characters, so we illustrate a little group of 1940s ladies; we are more than happy to create younger people for you, from any period. No wrinkled stockings here. Regency group - Group of characters from the style of the Regency.
