From time to time I must confess I get the urge to see just what I can make when I give into to my imagination and just 'create'. Such a process is equal parts frustration and joy, unlike my character dolls when I have a firm idea of what I'm trying to achieve, simply letting my imagination run rampant is a very different way for me to work as I often do not have a 'mental picture' and I'm perhaps trying to capture a feeling, or a sense.

For a long time I've kept these sort of pieces to myself, as they were never intended to be produced more than once, but after some coaxing from some good friends I've decided to place them on the website.

I must confess it's not something I often do, but sometimes, just sometimes I feel there is a piece which is waiting inside me to be crafted.

We all grew up with the Hans Christian Anderson Story,
that, the wonderful music of Prokofiev and the grace and
beauty of the English National Ballet has inspired the me in
the creation of this 1/12th Doll.

The Scupture is entirely original and she is fully poseable. Her elegant, detailed dress of shot satin is ice white, decorated with glitter, sparky stones and a feathered trim. The stones and pearls glitter in her crown and catch the light with a flash, even her slippers in silver leather areiridescent and sparkle with her cold beauty.

The is only one Snow Queen Doll and she is offered for sale at £45.00 + postage and packing. If you are interested in purchasing this doll, please do get in contact.

The happy tramp has just sat on the park bench to eat his fish and chips, although it does look as though the local cat has also been round the chip shop too. My 1/12th tramp, fully poseable like the other dolls, is not fixed to his bench so his pose can be changed. He’s taking his boots off as his feet are rather weary and taking the opportunity to have his lunch. This humorous piece was inspired by having made two left feet for a monk, by mistake! Time and time I nearly threw the foot away. Under the bench a little mouse is investigating a bag of crisps and a robin perches on the bench. Mags Cassidy of Mags-nificent made the fish and chips.

Tramp and Chips is £50

The British Miniature Doll Makers Guild chose as its theme for its display stand at Spring Miniatura – Fairies, Fable and Folklore – The Pied Piper is my contribution to the display.
He stands on a small base, approx 4” square surrounded by the rats, forty seven in all, that he is luring from Hamelin with the tune he plays on his pipe. The Piper is a fully poseable character doll in 1/12th scale, wearing the traditional red and yellow coat and scarf made famous by the poem. He wears a feather-trimmed cap and soft leather boots.
The Pied Piper will be for sale, including the ratty stand, for £50.
